She was married to Matt Mauser, the leader of a band called the Tijuana Dogs. They had three children together - Penny Rose, Tommy, and Ivy.

She was a girls’ basketball coach at Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Sport Academy and personally coached his daughter, Gianna.
She also coached at Harbor Day School in California.
She died in a helicopter crash which also took the life of Kobe and Gianna Bryant as well as six other individuals including another girl she coached, Alyssa Altobelli.
