About Zack Snyder
He is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer, who is known to have earned his first feature in 2004 after starring in the 1978 film, "Dawn of the Dead". He is also credited for having produced or directed high-ranking comic books and films such as the 2006 epic action film, "300" and the 2009 superhero film, "Watchmen".
Zack Snyder’s film directing credits comprise the 2013 Superman film, "Man of Steel" as well as its continuations such as "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016), and "Justice League" (2017).
He is also noted to have jointly founded the American film production company, "The Stone Quarry" in 2004 alongside his wife, Deborah Snyder. Some of his other on-screen projects are namely, "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" (2010), "Sucker Punch" (2011) , "Wonder Woman" (2017), and "Aquaman" (2018).
Family Life
He was born to Charles Synder, who was an executive recruiter – his mother, Marsha Reeves, was a photographic teacher and painter. Audrey Synder is his sister.
He got married to American film producer, Deborah Snyder in 2004 after dating for two years. He is known to have been married to Denise Weber. His children are namely; Jett, Cash, Ezekiel, Sage, Olivia, Willow, Eli, Autumn Synder.
Achievements
He was named "Best Director" at the 2008 Saturn Awards. He took home the "Director of the Year" award at the 2009 ShoWest Awards and was nominated for the "Best Director" at the SFX Awards in 2010.
He won the "Best Dramatic Presentation - Long Form" at the 2018 Hugo Awards.
He picked up a nomination for the "Hollywood Movie of the Year" at the 2013 ‘Hollywood Film Awards’.
He was nominated for the "Worst Director" and "Best International Film" at the ‘Golden Raspberry Awards’ and ‘Jupiter Awards’ respectively in 2017.
Trivia
His daughter, Autumn Snyder took her own life.
