Malaysian singer-songwriter Yunalis binti Mat Zara'ai, better known by the stage name Yuna, began her music career in 2006. She went global in 2011 after her songs uploaded to Myspace gained traction and landed her a recording contract with Fader Label through Indie-Pop, also a record label. Her international hit songs include “Crush”, which featured Usher, “Live Your Life” and “Blank Marquee”.
Family Life
She is the daughter of Justice Dato’ Mat Zara’ai bin, a Malaysian high court Judicial Commissioner, and Datin Anum binti Abdul Wahab, a retired schoolteacher.
She married Adam Sinclair, a film director, in January 2018. After the wedding, she became the sister-in-law of actors Ashraf Sinclair (deceased) and Aishah Sinclair.
Achievements
She has been decorated with numerous notable awards including honors from the “Malaysian Music Awards”, “VIMA Music Awards” and “Malaysian Book of Records”.
Other Ventures
She used to own a boutique called November Culture, which was in operation from 2014 to 2018.
