About Willian
Willian is a highly-rated Brazilian soccer player who mostly plays as an attacker. He became a worldwide celebrity after joining English side, Chelsea FC in 2013. Prior to that, he had played for other renowned soccer teams such as Shakhtar Donetsk and Anzhi Makhachkala.
Though he started playing the game at an early age, it was until 2007 that he made his professional debut for Brazilian team, Corinthians.
After playing a number of games for his country’s U20 team, he made his senior debut in 2011 during a non-competitive game against Gabon. He was part of the Brazilian team that played in the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup tournaments.
Family
His official name is Willian Borges da Silva. He lost his mother called Dona Zezé in 2016. He married a lady known as Vanessa Martins in 2011. They have a set of twins called Manuella and Valentina.
Achievements
He won a number of trophies with Shakhtar Donetsk including the Ukrainian Super Cup, Ukrainian Cup, and the UEFA Cup. He also helped Chelsea FC to win lots of silverwares such as the Premier League, UEFA Europa League, and FA Cup. In 2016, he was named Chelsea FC’s “Player of the Year”.
