About Wasim Akram
Wasim Akram is a Pakistani former professional cricketer widely regarded as one of the finest bowlers in the history of cricket. During his career, he played for the Pakistani cricket team as well as for teams such as Hampshire County Cricket Club and Lancashire County Cricket Club. He was honored with an induction into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2009.
Personal Life
In 1995, he got married to Huma Mufti, with whom he had two children. The marriage ended with Mufti's death in 2009. His second marriage was to Shaniera Thompson in 2013. The couple had their first child together in 2014.
Trivia
He was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 30 years old.
In 2015, he almost lost his life when an unknown assailant shot at his car in Karachi.
