About Vybz Kartel
He is a famous Jamaican reggae dancehall artist, record producer and entrepreneur, who was born Adidja Palmer but is professionally referred to as "Vybz Kartel". Palmer is sometimes credited for having popularizing the dancehall genre.
He has been privileged to work with some of the world's biggest artists including Jay Z, Rihanna, Major Lazer, and more. Some of his works include; "Real Bad Man" (2003), "Life Sweet" (2010), "Loodi" (2017), "Romping Shop" (2011), "Fever" (2016), "Shape Nice" (2019), and "Tony Montanna" (2020).
Palmer got a life sentence in 2014 after murdering his associate and will be only eligible for parole after 35 years.

He was born to a Jamaican father and mother, Teresa Palmer. He was married to Stacy Elliott between 2006 and 2008. He's known to have gotten married to Tanesha Johnson in a common-law marriage. His children include; Jaheim, Akheem, and Aiko Palmer.
Achievements
He took home the "Male DJ of the Year", "Lyricist/Songwriter of the Year", and "Song of the Year" at the 2009 EME Awards.
Palmer received the Caribbean Urban Music Awards (CUMA) in 2008.
He got nominated for the "Best Reggae Artist" at the 2010 Soul Train Music Awards.
