About Vinny Del Negro
Vinny Del Negro is an American retired basketball player and former basketball coach. He began his career in the NBA in 1988 with the Sacramento Kings, which had selected him in the second round of that year’s draft. He left two years later to ply his trade in Italy with Benetton Treviso until 1992.
On his return to the NBA, he played for the San Antonio Spurs from 1992 to 1998. He also played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns. In 2008, he landed his first head coaching job with the Chicago Bulls. He coached the Los Angeles Clippers from 2010 to 2013.

He was coached on how to play basketball by his father, Vince Del Negro, who played college basketball. He grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is of Italian descent.
Achievements
He won the 1992 Italian League championship with Benetton Treviso.
Trivia
In 2021, he emerged as the winner of the American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament.
