About Vicente Fox
Vicente Fox is a well-renowned Mexican politician and businessman who launched his business career having obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company's Mexican branch, serving as the company's CEO from 1975 until 1979.
Convinced that Mexico required progressive governance as the country's economy deteriorated in the 1980s, Fox entered politics in 1987, joining the National Action Party (PAN). Fox, a powerful and influential figure, served as Mexico's 62nd President from 2000 until 2006. Prior to that appointment, he formerly served in government as Governor of Guanajuato, Co-President of Centrist Democrat International, and Member of the Chamber of Deputies for Guanajuato's 3rd district.
During his presidency, he contributed to the improvement of the Mexican economy, primarily through effective international relations with the United States, economic reform, and combating corruption and violence; increased bilateral alliance with the United States on drug smuggling and uncontrolled immigration; and strengthened the rights of the country’s indigenous peoples.
