About Verne Troyer
Actor, comedian and stuntman, Verne Troyer started acting in 1994 after he was approached to take on the role of the character Baby Bink’s stunt double in the comedy film, “Baby’s Day Out”. He continued in the field by taking on minor film and television roles until 1999 when he landed his breakthrough role as Mini-Me in the film, “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me”. He went on to garner further fame through the film’s sequel, “Austin Powers in Goldmember”.
Personal Life
His parents were repair technician Reuben Troyer and factory worker Susan. He had been diagnosed with cartilage-hair hypoplasia, which made him only 81cm (2ft 8in) tall. He grew up with siblings named Deborah and Davon. He was in a long-term relationship with actress Brittney Powell.
Death
He died by suicide at 49 years old on 21 April 2018.
