About Tyler Lockett
After recording over 30 touchdowns in his college career, Tyler Lockett went into the 2015 edition of the NFL Draft as one of the most talented wide receivers of his era. He was picked in round three of the draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Admired for his ability to perform at different positions, Lockett is sometimes used as a kickoff returner, and punt returner.
Family
He’s the son of former NFL star Kevin Lockett and his partner Nicole Edwards. Aaron DaRon Lockett, his uncle, also starred in the NFL.
Education
Before starting his college education, the American football player studied at a number of institutions including Booker T. Washington High School. He later enrolled at Kansas State University.
Achievements
In 2014, he was voted the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year and also won the Jet Award. The following year, he was named into the Pro Bowl. Lockett was also selected into the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2015.
Trivia
The first NFL team he played against was the Denver Broncos.
He’s also an author and, in 2019, he published a book entitled “Reflection”.
He stands at 1.78 m.
