About Twista
Born Carl Terrell Mitchell, American rapper Twista started pursuing music professionally in 1989. His debut album, “Runnin’ Off at da Mouth” was released in 1992. In the same year, he made it into the Guinness World Records for being the world’s fastest English rapper. He became more mainstream after featuring on “Po Pimp”, a single by rap trio Do or Die. He has also performed with the group, Speedknot Mobstaz, which he formed in 1994.
Family Life
He was raised in West Garfield Park in Chicago, Illinois. He has a daughter from his marriage, which lasted from 1991 to 1999.
Achievements
He topped both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 albums charts with his single, “Slow Jamz” and the album “Kamikaze” respectively.
Trivia
In 2010, he joined the Chicago Food Bank to feed people in the state.
