Troy Polamalu is an American retired footballer who spent his entire professional football career playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL from 2003 to 2014. He officially announced his retirement from professional football in 2015.
Career
He played college football with the USC Trojans football team of the University of Southern California. He was later drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2003 NFL Draft.
Personal Life
His marriage to Theodora Holmes produced his first son Paisios in 2008 and his second son Ephraim in 2010.
Achievements
In 2010, he was awarded the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award and the NFL Alumni Player of the Year award. He helped the Pittsburgh Steelers win two Super Bowl championships - Super Bowl XL and Super Bowl XLIII.
Trivia
In 2010, his hair was insured for a whopping $1 million.
