Travis Shook is a well-known American pianist whose association with the Columbia Records propelled him to fame. He’s also known to be the co-founder of the Dead Horse Records label. He has worked with a number of top musicians such as Branford Marsalis and Benny Golson.
He recorded his first CD in 1993 and has featured musicians such as the late Bunky Green and Tony Williams.

As of 1993, he began a record label alongside his wife, Veronica Nunn, who is known as a jazz singer.

During the 1991 edition of the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, he won the “Great American Piano Competition”.
