About Trae Young
Rayford Trae Young is an American basketball player who plays in the point guard position. Even though he was picked by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 NFL Draft, he ended up starting in the NBA on the Atlanta Hawks team after the former traded him to the latter in exchange for another young talent, Luka Dončić.
Trae Young had a phenomenal high school career at the Norman North High School and continued at the University of Oklahoma on the Oklahoma Sooners team.
Family Life
He is the son of Rayford Young, an alumnus of Texas Tech. His siblings’ names are Camryn, Caitlyn and Timothy.
Achievements
He was named into the 2019 NBA All-Rookie First Team and played in the 2020 NBA All-Star game. He was also the 2018 recipient of the “Wayman Tisdale Award”.
Trivia
He won a gold medal as a member of the U18 team of the US that participated at the 2016 FIBA Americas Championship.
