About Tony Blair
Tony Blair is a former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom who famously became the youngest to be seated in the position since 1812 when he was elected in May 1997. During his 10 years in office, he was mostly known for advocating equality in every citizen, believing that everyone should be eligible for equal rights and opportunities. In that regard, he established the National Minimum Wage Act, Human Rights Act, and Freedom of Information Act during his early years in office. He was also known for his support of former U.S. President George W. Bush’s campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Trivia
Before his career in politics, Blair was once the singer and guitarist of the short-lived rock band Ugly Rumours, formed during his time at St John's College, Oxford.
