Tommy Maddox is a former football quarterback. He is known for being one of the few players to win both the NFL Super Bowl and XFL championships.
Football Career
The Texas native started his football career in high school, where he was an all-around athlete, playing baseball, football, and basketball. He was named the Southwest Texas Offensive Player of the Year and District Most Valuable Player.
Maddox played two seasons on the UCLA team as a quarterback before announcing his plans for participating in the NFL draft in 1992. He joined the Denver Broncos in 1992 and played for nine seasons in the NFL, joining other teams like the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons, and the XFL team, Los Angeles Xtreme. He retired in 2007.
Personal Life
He married Jennifer O’Dell in 1992 and the pair welcomed their children Kacy and Colby in 1994 and 1999. He founded the Tommy Maddox Foundation for Disadvantaged Children in 2003.
