About Tommy John
Tommy John is a former MLB star who spent close to three decades in the league. He made his professional debut with Cleveland Indians in 1963 following an impressive career in the minor leagues. Two years later, he joined the Chicago White Sox.
The famous pitcher went on to play for teams like the Los Angeles Dodgers, the California Angels, and the New York Yankees before exiting the league in 1989.
Coaching Career
Following his retirement, the American baseball star joined Furman University as a coach. In 2002, he moved to minor league side Harrisburg Senators where he was hired as a pitching coach. He has also worked with teams like Bridgeport Bluefish, and the Staten Island Yankees.
Family
He became the husband of Sally Simmons in 1970. They have four kids named Travis, Taylor, Tommy III, and Tamara.

In addition to baseball, John also played basketball at Gerstmeyer High School.

He was included in four All-Star teams.
