About Tomi Putaansuu
Tomi Putaansuu, the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest victor and lead singer of the heavy metal/hard rock band Lordi, is a man of many talents. The Finnish musician is also a special effects makeup artist, songwriter, and comic book artist, among others.
Early Life
He quickly developed a fascination in monsters and special effects, largely because of horror films. He had a lifelong fascination with masks and stage theatrics.
Marriage
He wed Johanna Askola in 2006; nevertheless, the pair separated in 2015.
Career
In 1992, when he was 18 years old, he started Lordi as a single endeavor. In 1993, he created Napalm Market, the first demo. For numerous Finnish artists, including Rotten Sound and Neljänsuora, he has composed songs and designed album covers. He began producing horror films with pals in the late 1980s, winning numerous accolades
He has had three art shows in Finland.
