About Tom Mix
Throughout his over two decades in the movie industry, Tom Mix starred in more than 290 films. The American actor was a household name between the late 1900s and the 1930s. Some popular films that he appeared in were “The Fighting Streak”, “Flaming Guns” and “King Cowboy”. As one of the prominent actors during that period, he worked with a number of production companies such as FBO Pictures, Universal Pictures and Fox Film Corporation.
Family
His official name was Thomas Hezikiah Mix and was the son of Elizabeth Heistand and Edwin Elias Mix. He divorced four times before marrying Mabel Hubbell Ward in 1932. His third marriage to Olive Stokes produced a child named Ruth, an actress.
Death
He died from a car accident in 1940.
