About Tito Jackson
Toriano Adaryll “Tito” Jackson was the full name of sensational American singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist Tito Jackson. Tito was the second member of the famous American group, “The Jackson 5.” However, he rose to stardom when he joined Motown label and later Epic label.
Early Life
Tito grew up in Gary, Indiana, with his family. Tito broke a string in his dad’s guitar when he was about ten years old. His dad, Joseph Jackson, demanded that he fix it and then play for him to listen. After Tito did both tasks successfully, his dad bought him a new guitar. Joseph Jackson was so impressed by Tito’s vocals and his brothers that he ordered them to form a singing group.
Solo Career
After enjoying a series of successes with his brothers on Motown and Epic, Tito began his solo career in early 2003. He performed as a blues musician in several nightclubs and shows. In 2016, his debut hit solo, “Get It Baby,” appeared on Billboard’s Hot 100. He then released his albums “Tito time” in 2016 and “Love One Another” in 2021.
Awards and Honors
He was honored twice with the MMP Music Award. In addition, he was an MMP Hall of Famer as a solo artist and as part of the Jacksons.
