Background
McVeigh was a decorated Persian War veteran. He saw gruesome combat in Kuwait. He was known to have radical conservative views about gun rights and taxes. He was also upset with and got involved in events like the 1993 Waco seige.
Oklahoma City bombing
With co-conspirator Terry Nichols, McVeigh enacted the Oklahoma City bombing. They transported a 5,000 pound explosive device made of ammonium nitrate and nitromethane to the front of US government building. It was detonated, killing 168 people and injury 684 more. McVeigh was executed in 2001.
