About Timothy Busfield
Busfield is an Emmy award-winning actor whose enormous work in the movie industry has made him one of the loved personalities in the industry. He started his acting career as a stage actor with a role in the improvisation of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." He picked up his first film role in 1981 when he landed a minor role in the war comedy film titled "Stripes." One of his popular roles however, is that of Elliot Weston in ABC's TV series, "Thirtysomething" where he starred alongside Ken Olin, Mel Harris, and Melanie Mayron.
Family Life
His father, Roger Busfield was a drama professor, while his mother, Jean Busfield worked as a secretary. His siblings consist of Buck, Julia and Terry Busfield. The actor was married to Radha Delamarter between 1981 and 1986. He later tied the knot with Jenny Merwin from 1988 till 2007. He then married actress and politician, Melissa Gilbert in 2013. His children are Samuel, Daisy, and Wilson Busfield.
Achievements
At the Primetime Emmy Awards, his role in "Thirtysomething" won him the "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series" in 1991. Prior to that, he was nominated for the "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series" from 1988 to 1990.
