About Theo Epstein
Having joined Major League Baseball as a summer intern during his undergraduate days, Theo Epstein has gone on to build for himself an impressive portfolio as an executive at a faster rate than so many others. His career began with the Baltimore Orioles, from where he moved to the San Diego Padres, where he eventually became Director of Baseball Operations. He is known best for his nine-season stints with the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago Cubs where he served as general manager and president of baseball operations respectively.
Family Life
He grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts alongside a twin brother named Paul and a sister, Anya. His marriage to Marie Whitney has produced two sons.
Achievements
His awards include Baseball America’s Major League Executive of the Year and Sports News’ Executive of the year.
Trivia
He was hired as an MLB consultant in January 2021.
