Thomas Lanier Williams III, recognized by his pen name Tennessee Williams, was a highly esteemed playwright. He is considered as part of the best playwrights of the American drama industry.
He started becoming popular after his memory play titled “The Glass Menagerie” premiered in 1944. Some of his popular works include “The Night of the Iguana” and “Sweet Bird of Youth”.

He was born to Cornelius Coffin Williams and Edwina Dakin. He had two siblings named as Walter Dakin Williams and Rose Isabel Williams.
