Early Life
Born a gifted kid, Riley started playing the piano at the age of five, and at the age of fourteen, he formed a rap group called Kids at Work. He produced his first song just a few days before his 18th birthday.
Career
Riley started working with notable artists such as the Jacksons, and the Winans, blending Hip Hop beats with R&B. In 1991, he formed the group Blackstreet, and in 1996 they released the single “No Diggity”. The group featured Janet Jackson, Eve, and Ja-Rule in their 1999 single “Girlfriend/Boyfriend”.
Riley suffered huge tragedies in 2008 when he became bankrupt and lost his studio to a fire incident. However, he bounced back and went on to work with other artists such as Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Snoop Dogg.
