About Ted Lyons
The Major League Baseball star, Ted Lyons was an incredibly gifted professional player, manager, and coach regarded as one of the finest pitchers of his day. He played for the Chicago White Sox for the entirety of his incredible 21-year MLB career.
Lyons played baseball at Baylor University during his undergraduate years before turning pro. Following his retirement from competitive play, he entered the coaching profession. From 1946 to 1948, he gained recognition for leading his previous team, the Chicago White Sox.
