Sylvia Browne was a well-known American author whose psychic and medium works made her the subject of many controversies. As a writer, she published loads of books with the most popular ones titled “God, Creation and Tools for Life”, “Book of Angels” and “Messages from Spirit: An Open-at-Random Book of Guidance”. She also hosted a show on the online network on Hay House Radio which earned her lots of followers.
Controversies
A self-acclaimed psychic, Browne made lots of false predictions. In 2002, she stated that Shawn Hornbeck, who had been kidnapped, was dead. Five years later, the boy reunited with his family alive. In 2003, Browne told viewers of the “Larry King Live” show that she would not die until her 88th birthday, but she passed away aged 77.
She also predicted that Amanda Berry, who was kidnapped in 2003, had been killed. Ten years later, the lady came back alive.
Family
Her maiden name was Sylvia Celeste Shoemaker and was raised by her parents Celeste Coil and William Lee Shoemaker. She divorced three times before marrying Michael Ulery in 2009. She had two children.
