Susan is an American television personality, a model and an actress. She gained popularity for her incredible acting skills especially in “Rich Man, Poor Man”.
Personal Life
She was born to Colonel Larry Blakely who was an army officer and Mary Louise who was an art teacher. Both parents were from the United States. She attended University of Texas then joined The Neighborhood Playhouse to learn how to act. When she was a teenager, she decided to give modelling a shot and joined Ford Modelling agency. She later met Tod Merer who was a lawyer and became his wife in 1969. About twelve years down the road, the marriage ended. The following year, she got married to Steve Jaff who was a film and television producer and also worked as a media consultant.
Career
Her acting career started in 1972 when she featured in the movie “Savages”. She later made appearances in a few more movies. “The Towering Inferno” was the movie she played her first major role in and she was cast as Patty Duncan Simmons. In 1975, she made an appearance in “Report to the Commissioner” where she was featured as Patty Butler. About three years later, she featured in “The Concorde...Airport ‘79” as Maggie Whelan. As of 2018, she has been in almost a hundred television series and movies.
