About Supriya Pathak
Before establishing herself in the Hindu movie industry, Supriya Pathak performed in many stage productions. It was at one of her performances that she was spotted by the late English actress Jennifer Kendall who linked her to Shyam Benegal. She was then featured in Benegal’s 1981 film entitled “Kalyug”.
She’s most known for her role in the “Khichdi” Hindi film franchise, where she played the Hansa Parekh character. The actress also received lots of praise for her role in “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela”.
Personal Life
Her mother Dina Pathak was instrumental in the development of her career. She’s the son of celebrity dress maker Baldev Pathak.
She and Indian actor, Pankaj Kapur, whom she has been married to since 1988, are the founders of the production company Grass Company. Together they have a daughter named Sanah who is also an actress.
Achievements
Her role in “Kalyug” earned her a Filmfare Award. Her other awards include Zee Cine Awards, Indian Television Academy Awards, and Indian Telly Awards.
