About Sue Grafton
Sue Grafton became a popular figure mostly due to her interesting detective novels. She started her writing career at the age of 18 years and published her first novel in 1967 which was entitled “Keziah Dane”. The American novelist is best known for her "Alphabet" series which she began in 1982 with the novel “"A" Is for Alibi”.
She wrote many short stories and essays including 2013’s “Kinsey and Me”. Grafton was also a screenwriter and worked on many films.
Family
She was one of the children of renowned writer Cornelius Warren Grafton and his wife Vivian Harnsberger. She was married to Steven F. Humphrey. Before their union, she had two kids from her two previous marriages.
Education
Grafton attended Atherton High School and continued at Western Kentucky University. She also attended the University of Louisville.
Achievements
She was honored with many prizes including the Anthony Award, the Ross Macdonald Literary Award and Shamus Awards.
