About Stromile Swift
Stromile Swift is famed as an American power forward who joined the NBA in 2000 after he was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies, which was then known as the Vancouver Grizzlies. After five years, he was traded to the Houston Rockets.
He also featured for the New Jersey Nets, and the Phoenix Suns before moving to China to sign for the Shandong Lions.
Legal Challenges
The basketball player has been on the wrong side of the law on many occasions. He was arrested in 2011 and charged with improper phone communications, and aggravated assault. He was freed on bail, but was rearrested later that year for alleged stalking. Swift was given an 18-month supervised probation, and a suspended 6-month sentence.
Education
He studied at Louisiana State University where he was also a member of the school’s basketball team.
Achievements
In 2000, he was named the SEC Co-Player of the Year.

He competed against the likes of DeShawn Stevenson, Desmond Mason, and Baron Davis at the 2001 edition of the Slam Dunk Competition.
