Steve Coogan is an American actor, writer, producer and stand-up comedian known for producing, co-writing and starring in the 2013 drama film Philomena, for which he received two Academy Award nominations. His other notable film roles include 2002's 24 Hour Party People, 2010's Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and2012's Despicable Me 2.
Family Life
He is the son of Kathleen and Anthony Coogan. He grew up with six siblings. From 2002 to 2005, he was married to Caroline Hickman. After the demise of his marriage to Caroline, he fathered a daughter with a solicitor named Anna Cole.
Trivia
Despite being raised a Catholic, he grew up to become an atheist.
