Steffi Graf is a retired German tennis champion considered by some to be the best women’s tennis player in history.
Career
Steffi Graf was introduced to tennis by her father. She was playing games by the age of 5! She won the 1982 European Championships for 12-18 yr olds. She climbed the tennis ranking steadily entering the top 100 when she was only 13 yrs old. She is the only player in history to ever achieve a ‘Golden Slam’. The ‘Golden Slam’ is to win all the Grand Slam tournaments in addition to the Gold medal at the Olympics all in the same year.
Personal
Steffi is married to another tennis legend, Andre Agassi. They have 2 children and live in a suburb of Las Vegas. They are both retired from tennis but are very active in several charitable foundations.
