Shirley Temple was famous for her acting roles from when she was very young. Temple was enrolled in dance school when she was only three. Her first famous film was Bright Eyes. In the mid thirties, she was in a lot of movies. These included hits like Curly Top and Heidi. Unfortunately, as Shirley Temple grew up, her films began to lose popularity. She actually quit acting starting when she was 22. She returned to acting for a short period in the late '50s in television. She has also been involved with politics.
