The renowned gospel singer is the tenth of 13 children of her parents - Jim Caesar and Hallie Caesar.
Education
Shirley Caesar, who had always dreamed of going back to school, fulfilled that dream by graduating from Shaw University with honors in business administration. She also pursued a course in divinity at the Divinity School of Duke University.
Career
Shirley Caesar's career can be described as fulfilling and a testimony. The "Queen of Gospel" began her career in 1958 by releasing the gospel song "Sweeping through the Canvas".
The gospel musician has had a career of seven decades with outstanding records such as "Teach me" and "Fill the house", which stayed at number 2 on the gospel Billboard in 2016.
Personal Life
Shirley tied the knot with Bishop Harold I in 1983, but unfortunately, he passed on in July 2014.
