Sharon Leal is a seasoned actress of Filipino and African-American origin. She rose to prominence thanks to her outstanding performances in the films "Dreamgirls," "This Christmas," and "Guiding Light," which earned her numerous major award nominations and wins.
Having a keen interest in acting as a child she began her acting career in local theater stage productions such as “Rent and Bright Lights”. She received a singing scholarship in 1993 and began working with voice teacher Seth Riggs.
