Shaparak is a talented British comedian and author born in Iran.
Personal Life
Her father was a political satirist by the name Hadi Khorsandi. She had a short life in Iran before the Islamic revolution forced out her family. They ended up in London and she got into University of Winchester which was called King Alfred’s College at the time. She did not focus on a particular religion and referred to herself as a humanist.
Career
When she completed university, she worked in different fields and places. She worked as a nude life model and fundraiser on the phone. All this time, she was starting her comedy career and getting better and better at it. Humanist UK got her to become their patron then later, she became their president. When she started excelling at comedy, she had the opportunity to appear on different shows including “Have I Got News For You” on BBC and “The Now Show”. She has also been on “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross” and “Live at the Apollo”. She released her memoir titled “A Beginner’s Guide to Acting English” in 2009.
