About Shane Crawford
Shane Crawford is a former rules football player who played in the Australian Football League (AFL). The Australian is best known for winning the Brownlow Medal.
Football Career
Crawford made his professional debut in 1993 after he was drafted into the club, Hawthorn in 1991. Six years after his debut, he was made captain of the team. He however stepped down as captain in 2004 after suffering an injury. He ended his football career with Hawthorn in 2008 after helping his team win the 2008 Grand Final.
Post Retirement
Following his retirement, Crawford ventured into media, appearing on TV shows such as “The AFL Footy Show”, “Kids’ WB”, and “The Celebrity Apprentice.” In 2020, he was made presenter on the show, “Australian Ninja Warrior.”
He also released his autobiography, “That’s What I’m Talking About” in 2010 and later released a series of children’s football-themed books.
