The Argentine professional footballer Sergio Romero is best known for his quick reflexes and skills as a goalkeeper. Romero has appeared 90 times since his debut on the Argentine national team, making him one of the most capped goalkeepers in the history of his country’s football.
Background
Romero started playing football at nine years old when he joined the local youth team Club Almirante Brown. He also played at the youth level of Argentina’s football team, representing them in 2007 South American Championship and 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Despite having a bad start, he proved himself to be a formidable goalkeeper and rose to fame during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where he helped his team reach the finals, winning Man of the Match in the final game against Netherlands. He joined the English club, Manchester United from 2015-2021 before joining Venezia in Italy.

Romero married Eliana Guercio and they have four children together.
