About Sébastien Loeb
Regarded by many as undoubtedly greatest driver in the history of rallying, Sébastien Loeb has made his mark in the World Rally Championship (WRC) competition. He first got into sports as a gymnast but in 1995, he changed to rallying.
He participated in the WRC as a driver for the Citroen World Rally Team from 2002 until his retirement from the sport as a full-time competitor in 2012. He has also achieved significant gains in other competitions including the FIA World Rallycross Championship, Extreme E and 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Family Life
He was raised in Oberhoffen-sur-Moder, France by Ingrid and Guy Loeb as their only child. He has a daughter named Valentine with his wife, Séverine.
Achievements
He is the record holder of the WRC with his nine consecutive wins. The French presidency awarded him with a Legion of Honour in 2009.
Trivia
Although he had wanted to debut in Formula One in 2010, he had to abandon his plan after failing to secure a licence.
