About Scott Stevens
Scott Stevens joined the National Hockey League in 1982 as a member of the Washington Capitals. In 1991, he was signed by the New Jersey Devils after a season with the St. Louis Blues. With the Devils, the former defenseman won three Stanley Cups and served as the team captain between 1992 and 2004.
International career
The Ontario-born hockey star played for his country of birth on many occasions. He was a member of the Canadian teams that won silver at the 1985 and 1989 World Championships. In 1996, he helped his country to a second-place finish at the World Cup of Hockey.
Coaching career
Stevens joined the coaching staff of his former team, the New Jersey Devils, in 2012. He resigned from his position two years later but returned as an interim coach later that year. He joined the Minnesota Wild in 2016 as one of their assistant coaches, but left after some months.
Family
He was raised by his parents Mary and Larry Stevens, alongside two brothers. He has been married to a lady called Donna.
Honors
In 2013, the hockey legend was selected into the NHL All-Star for the 13th time. In 2007, he became a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. His name was included in the "100 Greatest NHL Players" list in 2017.

The NHL star was accused of rape in 1990.
