Sam is an Australian record producer, songwriter and singer. He is also a great instrumentalist.
Personal Life
Even though he uses the name Sam Sparro for show business, his birth name is Samuel Falson. His mother was Karyn Falson and his father was a gospel minister by name Chris Falson. He came from a family that had several instrumentalists, his mother was an organist and his brothers were guitarists. He made it public that he was gay and made DJ Zion Lennox a life partner in 2018.
Career
In 2007, he worked and released his single, “Cottonmouth”. The following year, he made it to the billboard charts with “Black and Gold” which was his second single. The track was a major hit and ended up being used for campaigns and soundtracks. When he released the album “Sam Sparro”, it had huge feedback and made it to the charts too.
Achievements
In 2009 during the Grammy Awards, his track “Black and Gold” was nominated for best Dance Recording but was unable to win. In the same year however, during the GLAAD Media Awards, he won the award for Outstanding Music Artist.
