Sam Hunt is an American singer and songwriter who upon discovering his amazing musical talent, he has quickly gone on to become one of the most-celebrated country musicians of the latter 2010s.
Family Life
His parents' names are Joan and Allen Hunt.
In 2017 he married Hannah Lee Fowler, the lady who served as the inspiration behind his highly-successful “Montevallo” album.
Achievements
Hunt’s debut album, "Montevallo" (2014), produced four songs which ended up topping Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. And he became the first male soloist to do so via his first album in history. And the album itself went on to be certified triple-Platinum by the RIAA.
During the latter half of the 2010s he’s won two Academy of Country Music Awards (2018), an American Music Award (2015), an ASCAP Country Music Award (2015), a CMT Music Awards (2015), a Teen Choice Award (2017) and others.
He also won an ASCAP Award in 2012 for co-writing Kenny Chesney’s song “Come Over”. And other major artists he has written for include Reba McEntire and Keith Urban.
Trivia
Prior to becoming a full-time musician Hunt was a college quarterback who was in fact good enough to try out for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2008.
He is known as a genre-crossing artist, i.e. one who mixed pop music and R&B with country.
