Samuel Kent Harris first got into the spotlight as a singer before he came to be known for his acting career. He shot to instant fame in 1983 with his participation in “Star Search" as a singer. The following year, he released his debut single “Sugar Don’t Bite”.
He is popular for his performances in Broadway musicals such as “Grease”, “The Producers” and “The Life”. On television, he is known best for his appearances in “Rules of Engagement” and “The Class”.
Family Life
Prior to his marriage to his long-term partner Danny Jacobsen, in 2008, they had dated since 1994. They are parents to an adopted son named Cooper Atticus Harris-Jacobsen.
Achievements
He won a Drama League Award for his work in “The Life”. His performances have also earned him nominations from the Tony Awards and Drama Desk Awards.
Trivia
He wrote “Ham - Slices of a Life”, a book of autobiographical stories in 2014.
