Rudy Giuliani is an American entrepreneur, lawyer and former politician known for being the 107th Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001. During his tenure as Mayor, he was praised all over the world for the brilliant and effective leadership he exhibited during and after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City. He is also a seasoned public speaker, who has made several millions of dollars from his speaking fees.

Prior to his 2003 marriage to Judith Nathan, he was married and divorced twice. He had two children from his second marriage to Donna Hanover.

In 2000, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
His exemplary leadership in dealing with the aftermath of the September 11 attacks contributed to his being named the Time Magazine Person of the Year for 2001. He was also honored with an honorary knighthood by Queen Elizabeth II for his effective leadership.
