About Ronald Isley
He is an influential recording artist who is of American origin. He worked as a songwriter and an actor occasionally. He is also one of the founders of the “The Isley Brothers” group.
Personal Life
He is the son of O’Kelly Isley Sr and Sallye Bernice. He was part of the six sons his parents had. He experienced and started his musical growth in the church along with some of his brothers. He started singing almost as soon as he could talk and even won an award to that effect. In 1960, he married Margaret Tinsley and nine years later, they had a daughter but the marriage didn’t last. Later in 1993, he made Angela Winbush his wife. That marriage ended in 2002. Three years later, he became the husband of Kandy Johnson and in 2006, they had a son.
Career
By the time he was eight years old, he had become a performer at venues and on stage. He released a few albums including “Mr. I” and “Here I Am”.
Health issues
In 2004 while the Isley Brothers were on tour, Ronald suffered a stroke and though it was mild, it got them to put a hold on their tour. He later suffered from kidney issues.
