The football icon was given the name Romain Ghanem Paul Saïss when his parents had him. He was born to a French mother and a Moroccan father.
Career
He became a player for Valence in 2010 and was with them for about a year before he moved on to become a player for Clermont Foot 63 in 2011. While he was with Clermont, he was offered a spot on the national team.
In 2013, Le Havre Athletic signed him on to their team where he played till 2015 before joining Angers in the same year.
In 2016, Wolverhampton Wanderers gave him a contract to play with them for four years which he accepted and signed. For being an exceptional player, his contract was extended. He left them in 2022 when he went to Turkey to play for Beşiktaş.
