About Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma has added his name to the list of cricket’s all-time greatest batsmen. The Indian international cricketer debuted professionally at the age of 18 in List A cricket by playing in the 2005 Deodhar Trophy competition for the West Zone cricket team.
He progressed to the domestic first-class category in the 2006/2007 season of the Ranji Trophy as a member of the Mumbai cricket team. He has also played for the Mumbai Indians of the Indian Premier League since 2011. Four years before that, he represented India in international test competitions like ODI and T20I.
Family Life
He grew up in Borivali, Mumbai under the care of his uncles and grandparents because of his father’s financial situation. He used to visit his parents on weekends.
He welcomed a daughter in December 2018 with Ritika Sajdeh, his wife since 2015.
Achievements
He has held the record for the highest cricket score (264) attained by an individual batsman. He was named the ICC ODI Player of the Year in 2019.
