Rodney King was a man famous for appearing in a video where he was beaten by police officers.
The Incident
King got in a car chase while waiting for alcohol to leave his body. When King was finally stopped, he got out and acted strangely. He was able to stand up with two officers on his back. King was then tased and continuously beaten with batons. He was eventually handcuffed. A video was taken of part of the situation.
1992 Riots
There was a video of this incident, which is attributed to being the biggest influence of the Los Angeles Riots of 1992.
