About Rob Halford
Robert John Arthur Halford left his adult movie theatre management job to pursue music full-time after he was invited to join Judas Priest in 1973. He has been the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band, which he has come to be best known for. He has also performed with the bands, Fight and Two.
Through his self-titled solo band Halford, he has worked on albums such as “Crucible” and “Halford IV: Made of Metal”.
Personal Life
He was raised in Walsall, England. Sue, his sister, was the one who introduced him to Ian Hill, the bassist of Judas Priest. He came out as a homosexual during an interview on MTV in 1998.
Achievements
As a member of Judas Priest, he received a Grammy Award in 2010.
Trivia
Fans of heavy metal rock have nicknamed him “Metal God”.
